Privacy Policy...

WebTaught is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We do not rent, trade, loan, or sell your personal information or any other information which may identify you to third parties. At WebTaught, we are committed to protecting our customer's privacy. The information we collect is used to process your order, provide information to your state as required by law, add you to our mailing list if requested, and to enhance your course purchase and completion experience.

Our privacy statement was created to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and confidentiality of our users. The policies described below apply to WebTaught and are made available to make you aware of how we collect and use identifying information of visitors to our website.

Information Collection

Registration Form

In order to take courses offered on this website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give contact information such as name, email address and phone number(s). We use this information to ensure that the user receives credit with state licensing agencies upon completion of a course or courses. In order to take our courses, the user must provide unique identifiers (such as a username and password). A social security number is also required because many states use this as a real estate license number and/or require it on the certificate of completion.

Order Form

We request information from the user on our order form. A user must provide financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders.

Information Use

The information we collect is used to provide users with confirmation of and proof of credit for the courses taken on WebTaught. In many instances information is used to confirm completion of the course(s) with state licensing agencies.

WebTaught uses information volunteered by website visitors to deliver email messages regarding special offers on our courses. Each such message contains an opt-out utility. All opt-out requests are handled in a timely manner. This information is not shared or sold in any capacity to third parties.

Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information stored by your web browser on behalf of a web site and returned to the web site on request. This site uses cookies for one purpose: to carry data about your current session in a course from one page to the next. Some pages may not function properly if the cookies are turned off on your computer. We will not store data, other than for this purpose, in cookies. Cookies remain on your computer, and accordingly we neither store cookies on our computers nor forward them to any third parties. We do not use cookies to track your movement among different web sites and do not exchange cookies with other entities.

Log Files

Like most standard websites we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement in the aggregate and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses and other log file information are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Information Sharing

Third Party Intermediaries

We use a credit card processing company to bill users for WebTaught's courses. We do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Information confirming users' completion of a course is sent to the corresponding state agency as required by their rules and regulations.

Security

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users' personal information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and transmitted via a secure server. Our 128-bit encryption secure socket layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

WebTaught also does everything in its power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information - not just the sensitive information mentioned above - is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. On at least an annual basis, and any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that our users' information is protected.

Access to Personal Information

Upon request we provide website visitors with access to financial information (e.g., credit card account information) that we maintain about them, unique identifier information (e.g., username or password) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them, as well as a full description of information that we maintain about them.

Consumers can access this information by emailing us, calling us or by writing to us. Upon request we offer Web site users the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information, financial information, unique identifiers and transaction information.

Your Consent

By using our web site, you are agreeing to let us collect the aforementioned information and use it in the said manner. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. WebTaught will cooperate with law enforcement agencies to identify any individual who attempts to use our services for illegal activities. We will also report any activity we believe to be unlawful to the proper authorities. Additionally, we may release account information when we feel that such a release is necessary to enforce the terms of our user agreement, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, WebTaught, or others.

If you have any questions about this privacy statement, please contact customer service at: customerservice@webtaught.com.
