Q. How effective is e-learning?

A. From our experience, we feel online education is just as effective if not more than live education. Unlike live education you can study material at your own pace. Additionally, e-learning allows an individual to increase their problem solving and analytical thinking skills.

Q. How can you offer your courses at such inexpensive prices?

A. Simple. Low overhead. WebTaught owns the software and all the course content for every course we offer. In turn, we pass these savings on to our most important asset, our students. Because without you we wouldn’t exist.

Q. What methods of payment are accepted on your website?

A. You may pay using all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). The process is simple and secured utilizing 128-bit encryption through Geotrust.

Q. Is it secure to send my credit card information over the internet?

Q. Can I take the course from various locations and computers?

A. Our courses are set up for students to access their account from any computer that is compatible. In fact, this was the basis for our slogan, “Learn Anywhere. Learn Anytime.”

Q. What happens if I have technical difficulties?

A. If you experience any problem while taking the course, please call (504) 482-0109 locally or toll free at 1-(866)-482-0109 or email techsupport@webtaught.com for assistance. Q. Can I take this course with the AOL browser?

A. You can take the course with any browser of your choosing but we do not support the AOL browser. This means our technical support team is not able to help you in the event of a problem while taking a course with the AOL browser. We do suggest that you use another browser while signed on with AOL. To do this, login to AOL and minimize the program. While still connected to the Internet, click on the START button in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Click PROGRAMS, then click INTERNET EXPLORER, the program icon will have a blue "e".

Q. Do I need to use a PC? What if I have a Macintosh?

A. If you have a MAC you can still sign on to take any of our courses. Many of our customers have taken their courses on a MAC and had no problems whatsoever. However, be aware that our technical support team may be unable to assist you should you encounter technical difficulties. They do not have MACs and therefore may be unable to replicate any problem you may encounter. If you have a MAC, you will need the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Q. Will you be sending me any additional materials?

A. Everything you need to complete the courses, including the final examinations are included in our courses. However, additional books and/or materials that supplement our courses may be purchased on our site. These are totally optional and listed under each course during the registration process.

Q. How long will it take me to finish a course?

A. This varies from student to student. One of the benefits of online courses is that you can move at your own pace on your own time.

Q. How long do I have to finish a course?

A. All course lessons on the computer must be completed within a certain number of days from the date of enrollment. The number of days you have to complete a course is stated in the course description of the course upon initial registration. Subsequently, you will be reminded of the date you signed up for the course and the course expiration date every time you log into WebTaught.

Q. Will I be tested during the course?

A. Each lesson in a course will have multiple quizzes that must be answered correctly to move on. You will be presented one question at a time until you answer all questions correctly at least once. You may take the quizzes as many times as you want. Each lesson also contains an end of lesson final which must be passed to move on to the next lesson. Also, most courses also contain a final examination that must be passed to receive your certificate of completion.

Q. What if I fail the final examination?

A. If you fail a final examination you may re-take it as many times as needed until you pass provided you are still under contract. However, if you do fail the final exam the system will lock you out of the exam for 2 days. This is to prevent students from just re-taking the exam over and over again without studying. If you fail an examination, it is more effective to study the material again rather than just re-taking the exam and trying to get “lucky”. Note: The exam discussed in this section is referring to the FINAL exam, not the end of lesson finals. The end of lesson finals will not lock you out for two days if you fail. You will have immediate access to these again.

Q. Are your courses approved for credit?

A. All of our prelicensing, postlicensing and continuing education courses are approved by the appropriate state agencies. All of our real estate courses are also approved by ARELLO (Association of Real Estate License Law Officials). ARELLO recognized the need to establish standards that can be used to review and approve distance learning courses. These standards are now the global benchmark for distance education delivery measurement. Visit their website at http://www.arello.net to learn more.
